One Chance
“The Earth is what we all have in common.”
Wendell Berry

"We have not inherited this earth from our parents to do with it what we will. We have borrowed it from our children and we must be careful to use it in their interests as well as our own."
Moss Cass
The Heat
The Earth has experienced an above-average global temperature since 1977 according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
Carbon Dioxide Up 46%
The atmospheric carbon dioxide level for March was 411.97 parts per million and continue to rise. It has now reached levels in the atmosphere not seen in 3 million years.
The Effects
Extreme weather events exacerbated in part by climate change killed almost 250 Americans and cost the nation at least $91 billion in 2018, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
The Future
The future climate will resemble the one experienced by an area 528 miles to the south today. This means New York City could have the climate of Arkansas and Minneapolis could be more like Kansas.
